I Met a Famous Race Car Driver!
I finally got the opportunity to go to the Sebring 12-hours American Le Mans, which I have been dying to do for years. The race itself was amazing but the best part was the people I met. In the showroom of cars previously raced at Sebring, I met a fascinating man. Fred was sitting with the Turner he raced there in 1959! He proceeded to tell me a great story of how he gained entry to race. Enjoy the video and remember to take advantage of the opportunities that come your way, because you never know where they might lead you!
P.S. I looked up Fred and was impressed that as a last minute entry he finished 43rd out of the 65 that finished (16 didn’t finish!). Not bad for a guy who was just thrilled to get an “all access ticket”! Check out this site to see pics of Fred racing this car at Sebring in 1959! www.turnersportscars.co.uk
P.P.S. Carpe Diem! Keep your eyes open to what is going on around you; interesting people and fun adventures are everywhere if you live in the moment. HUGS!
